One of the problems with trying to compare exactly how good it is though is that EA keep putting out flaccid FIFA releases. There are still issues here and there with the game, but it's one of the best football games ever made on the pitch. They improved on pretty much all elements required from last year. Overall I rate it the best PES since they changed the game engine, but I really feel that it needs some patches to smooth the rough edges, as I just can't shake off the feeling that demo impressed me a lot more. I don't mind it much, but I like to take my time.
PES 17 REDDIT FULL VERSION
Also, full version appears to be a lot faster, even when lowering the game speed. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just.odd (I have to note that I always like to use the player camera).
PES 17 REDDIT MANUAL
However - Is it me or is the full game different to demo? I played demo a lot and it was a lot smoother than the full edition, not to mention the odd collisions between players and most of all - the perception of depth, especially when doing manual shooting. I also like the changes they've made to the overall UI, especially the transfer window (although I liked PES15 one better) and overall management. Tactics play a lot bigger role than before and you really need to think through the setup for each game.
I even had to lower the difficulty setting, as Super star proved to be a bit too much after coming from PES16 (mind you that I also tried FIFA17 demo, chose the hardest difficulty and played ManC vs PSG and won 5-0 in the first half). I've played PES a lot since 2010, I'd say in average at least 2-3 matches (offline, never played online) a day and PES2017 is the first one that is actually challenging.
Lincenses are non-issues since I have the Bundeliga and EPL option files from day one. At this point I lost hope in FIFA improving the gameplay to even be comparable to PES, but at least there's always hope PES improves the graphics and stadiums.etc. In PES, playing against the AI felt like a real match. Overall, I felt like I'm wasting my time playing FIFA. Momentum transfers beautifully and realistically to the ball, and that's very clear when comparing headers in particular., just look at those atrocious ball phsyics in FIFA. The players feel a lot heavier in a realistic way. But the second you start playing an actual game, that's where the glaring differences come into play. The grass looks stunning and so does presentation. Player fidelity -esp for scanned faces- is spot on. Everything looks sharper and higher quality.
I only play offline, so I'm not bothered by the online lag. Before it, PES 2016 was my most played game. PES 2017 is my most played game last year, period. In my opinion, if you're looking for a football game:. I see people dislike PES due to the lack of licensing however this can be solved using a data pack created by the community that gives teams like Man Red (Manchester United) their full kit and badge. Best part is that you can either create or get custom kits for your team.
PES 17 REDDIT OFFLINE
However, the AI in PES is a lot better than the ones in FIFA leading to a more enjoyable offline experience in Master League for example.Īnother great feature is the edit mode which I really enjoy as you can create your own team and players to use in Master League. One game will feel fluid and great and the next will be unbearable with inputs taking up 1-2 seconds to register. My biggest gripe with PES is the inconsistent latency you'll get in online matches. But they always fall short on many features and also fail to fix any issues that are present in the game every year.
